Back in July, IBM grabbed the attention of everyone in the cloud computing world by purchasing SoftLayer, the world’s only seamlessly unified global cloud computing infrastructure provider. Since the acquisition, many have speculated on how IBM would proceed as the owner of two tier one cloud environments?
Well we have our answer. On October 30th, IBM sent an e-mail to its SmartCloud Enterprise customers announcing SCE end of life for January 31, 2014.
Race Migration is very pleased to have been chosen by IBM to be it’s exclusive partner for migrating SCE customers to SoftLayer. As the announcement indicated, IBM will be offering Race Migration’s Cloud Path SaaS solution at no charge to assist customers with quickly and easily moving their workloads to SoftLayer.
