We participated in another great re:Invent this year and it was particularly rewarding to be recognized by AWS as a leading partner in their “Invent and Simplify” category.
AWS launched a number of significant new services at the show that were pretty exciting to see. Some of our favorites included:
- Aurora – AWS next gen scalable database service!
- EC2 Container Service – leverage Docker on AWS!
- AWS Service Catalog – Self-service meets corporate governance – best of both worlds.
- AWS Config – manage those servers more easily!
See the official re:Invent recap here. Press releases are here.
Race Migration has also launched a number of new features around the AWS IaaS platform this year including:
- Support for Windows Server 2003 migrations.
- Support for direct migration of workloads into AWS VPC networks.
- Support for direct migration of workloads into AWS GovCloud region
- Delta-data synchronization between source and target servers.
- Support for AWS IAM security delegation service.
- Support for AWS STS security token service.
- Support for matching source physical disk configuration as independent EBS instances.
Finally, a big “shout out” to the AWS team – they were a huge support in delivering these market leading enhancements for the AWS platform, particularly the AWS Solution Architects and AWS Professional Services teams – they have been a fantastic resource for us!-
